REBA supports project on better benefits for lower paid staff
The Work Foundation have been commissioned by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation to explore employee fringe benefits – their value to business and their role in supporting a better reward package for low paid employees.
The project aims to develop practical resources to support employers to implement the right schemes for their business and their staff, that are not only cost effective, but support a happier, healthier and more committed workforce.
In doing so, they are looking to work collaboratively with employers to understand the challenges associated with implementing these schemes, showcase examples of good practice from across the sector, and co-design practical tools that will be of real value to business.
Ultimately the project aims to promote high performance working practices and improved business performance, while supporting low paid workers and addressing the growing issue of in-work poverty in the UK.
The Work Foundation are looking for passionate and experienced HR professionals working within retail businesses to get involved, so please let Debi O’Donovan, director at REBA know if you are happy to engage and she can send you a summary sheet of the details or pass your contact details on to the Work Foundation.
