Research: Generation Why?

The survey was designed to help gain a better understanding of generational attitudes and perspectives towards savings and money matters, and how an individual's affluence influences their thinking.

This is the first in a series of surveys conducted by Barnett Waddingham to gather the information we need to help us educate individuals to make the right decisions now, for the future they deserve.

13 simple questions were asked, differing slightly depending on age (as the financial priorities of a 22 year old are very different from someone in their 50s). Over 800 people responded during August and September 2014.
