Video: Employee Wellness Conference: Organisations must use data analytics for better targeting

Organisations must grasp the Amazon type concept of an audience of one, Alistair Dornan, head of health management at Capita Employee Benefits told the REBA Employee Wellness Conference 2016

“When I use Amazon it doesn’t just know my name it knows what I like and what I may like. My experience is engaging and it’s a great experience and so I continue to use it and advocate it,” he said.

He pointed out that the same concept was true within employee benefits too. “Grouping everyone into a single attitude just isn’t going to work,” he said.

Instead organisations must use data analytics to help segment their workforce and then look at how to join up the data along the employee care pathway, he said.

As well as improving the experience data analytics also helps to cut costs too, said Capita. The company presented details of a case study where its data analytics had enabled its client to get a significant reduction in their insurance premium thanks to the details they could provide.
