Connect, collaborate and build a community with rebaLink

Reward professionals are rarely short of information, with everything from specialist magazines through to insights from product providers giving them the latest information about developments in the reward and benefits market.

But having a breadth of information at your fingertips is different from sharing knowledge with other reward practitioners who have hands-on experience of the same challenges as you.

rebaLink offers reward professionals the opportunity to confidentially connect with their peers, collaborate on shared challenges and build a personal community that can offer them first-hand insights into reward strategies, specific issues and buying decisions. Only REBA’s professional members (ie. HR and reward professionals who have signed up to be part of our membership) are eligible to use rebaLink – no other third parties have permission to join this free service.

“Sometimes you just need to ‘chew the fat’ with people and ask for opinions,” says Debbie Fennell, employee benefits and reward specialist at Carlsberg. “rebaLink has been great for this – it’s exactly what someone like me who hasn’t got a big team needs to connect with other reward and benefits professionals.”

Members can filter which other rebaLink users they want to contact by sector, region and area of expertise. They can also post specific questions to professional members by region or topic, helping them to get the most helpful advice in the shortest time. “Quite often you can make an expensive mistake if something is not quite right, so this [rebaLink] is a good way to network,” adds Debbie

Ian Davis, head of reward and business support at Direct Line says that he values rebaLink’s specialist focus: “I’ve used LinkedIn and other platforms for similar purposes in the past, but I’ve found rebaLink to be a much more targeted way of communicating with your fellow reward professionals. I think it’s really helped in terms of things we have been thinking about, mulling over and looking at trying. I’ve both posted questions myself and answered others’ queries.

“[It’s helped us] to understand what other people are doing out there. To get quick, good and detailed responses from peers has helped us really shape some of the decisions and ways we are going with certain initiatives.”
