Health and wellbeing technology is set for rapid expansion as HR professionals continue to embrace this hot topic, according to a survey of more than 200 reward and employee benefit specialists.

The REBA Technology Survey 2017/18, conducted by the Reward & Employee Benefits Association (REBA) in association with JLT Employee Benefits, found that just over a third of respondents (37.1%) currently have a health and wellbeing platform in place. However around half (47.8%) are either currently developing their employee wellbeing platform or plan to implement a software solution by 2020.

“Although they are still in their infancy, the fact that health and wellbeing is such a hot topic means that development of health and wellbeing platforms is growing fast,” said Debi O’Donovan, director at REBA.

“This is being matched by demand, with 18% of our respondents saying such platforms were in development at their business and 29.8% saying that they planned to implement them within the next three years,” she said.
