REBA Technology Survey 2017/18: More opportunity to be made of data to inform key decisions

More than half of organisations are making use of data to inform key decisions, according to a poll of 212 reward and employee benefit specialists conducted by the Reward & Employee Benefits Association (REBA) in association with JLT Employee Benefits.

The REBA Technology Survey 2017/18, shows that 57.2% of rewards and benefits professional are using data but of these only 10.9% are satisfied with their processes. Of the remained nearly 46.3% using data but are working to improve processes.

A further 29.9% are not yet using their data to inform what they do but say that they are working to implement such processes.

The results are supported by the fact that respondents also predict getting more involved with technology and strategic data. More than a third (35.9%) say they will become a lot more involved whilst more than half (53.1%) say that they will get a bit more involved.

“The opportunity around data is huge,” says Debi O’Donovan, director at REBA. “However it does require the right tools to manage and make sense of. It’s encouraging to see that most organisations realise the opportunities it offers them and are looking to improve what they do in this area as a result.”
