The REBA Technology Survey 2017/18 which polled 212 reward and employee benefit specialists was conducted by the Reward & Employee Benefits Association (REBA) in association with JLT Employee Benefits.

It showed that 37.7% of those surveyed are focussing their efforts on personalisation of employee communications in the next twelve months.

The conclusion was supported by further data in the study that showed that nearly two-thirds (64.5%) of those surveyed said that technology could make the biggest impact on increasing employee understanding of the value of their reward.

“Understanding the value of reward and benefits is crucial to employee engagement and communication is key in this,” said Debi O’Donovan, director at REBA.

“Employers clearly understand the important role that technology plays in the communication of benefits and reward information and many are following this through with a focus on tailoring their message even more specifically to individuals through personalisation – another important factor in improving engagement,” she said.
