Research: Workplace Pension Survey

The Workplace Pensions Survey from the National Association of Pension Funds tracks the opinions and attitudes of around 2,000 people in employment on pensions and their expectations in retirement, providing a useful resource for employers who want to know more about employees attitudes towards pension provision.

Key findings of the report show:

  • 71% of respondents had access to a workplace pension and 73% were saving in to it
  • 12% who said that had been automatically enrolled into a pension scheme then opted out
  • Young people aged 18-24 who were currently saving into a pension scheme were most likely to consider saving more in the future (88%)
  • 55% felt they wouldn’t have enough in their pension to live on in retirement with 64% expecting to work past State Pension Age in order to live comfortably in retirement.
