The 43rd annual survey from the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association (PLSA) offers a snapshot of workplace pension provision in the UK.

Report: FTSE 350 Pensions Analysis 2017

This analysis from Hymans Robertson puts the defined benefit (DB) pension schemes of the FTSE 350 in the context of the businesses that support them and looks ahead to the key themes emerging for DB pensions.

Government papers: Automatic Enrolment Review 2017: Maintaining the Momentum

This review of automatic enrolment considers how workplace pensions will meet the needs of individuals and employers while remaining fair, affordable and sustainable for future generations. The report outlines several recommendations to maintain the momentum behind auto-enrolment, including the proposal to review the earnings trigger and qualifying earnings band for 2018/19.

Government papers: Bulk transfer of contracted out pension rights without member consent: draft regulations

The consultation seeks views on the Contracting-out (Transfer and Transfer Payment) (Amendment) Regulations 2018. The regulations enable bulk transfers of contracted-out rights to take place in certain circumstances without member consent, to schemes that have never been contracted out.
