Turn your EAP from a Cinderella benefit with a spot of fairy godmother treatment

I got to thinking about employee assistance programmes (EAP) last week (as you do when sitting in an EAP session at a conference!).

EAPs really are the Cinderella benefit – the one no-one notices, but could be amazing with a spot of fairy godmother treatment (and a better name, to be honest).

They are uniquely positioned to pull together the positive aspects of different types of wellbeing. This is where, for example financial wellness overlaps with emotional wellness.

An EAP service that properly understands your various wellbeing offerings can effectively point your staff in the right direction when dealing with issues.

Or they could be seen to be more of a management tool, being used to support or even mentor managers dealing with tricky situations that could be causing them stress. Most managers I know who have been sent on resilience training have hugely valued it as something that has helped them build their career, rather than it being only about stress and something to be hidden.

If you have an EAP and believe you could be doing a lot more with it, then come along to the ‘Do EAPS have an image problem? Busting the myths and how to make your EAP a cornerstone of your wellbeing strategy’ at the Employee Wellbeing Congress on 22 June 2017.

Book your place now for this and many other sessions.
