Video tutorial: How disruptive innovation is changing the world as we know it

The world of start-ups has the potential to radically change the world as we know it, according to Matt Connolly, CEO and founder of Tällt Ventures whose business tracks more than five million start-ups worldwide.

Speaking at the REBA Innovation Day he said organisations had to understand the role of such disruptive businesses and innovation by looking at three Ps – their people, product and potential.

After market scanning he said organisations should look at whether to build, partner or buy. “Lots of companies are moving into the partner concept,” he said.

Corporates were struggling with the build concept, he said. “You can’t do this without transformational leadership and you can’t change that without an agile culture. Also the structure of your company needs to be creative, reactive and responsive. It’s not about staying relevant it’s about unlocking the potential opportunities,” he said.

This video was recorded at the REBA Innovation Day in London, held on the 23 November 2017
