Video tutorial: Why HR needs to do more with data to support their strategies

HR needs to make more use of the value of data to support their position alongside other senior directors within the business, according to Deborah Rees-Frost, director of consulting at Innecto Reward Consulting.

Speaking at the REBA Innovation Day Rees-Frost said that often HR would rely on anecdotal evidence rather than with data. “HR directors and senior reward people need to go to businesses with hard relevant data that they and the business can rely on,” she said.

She told delegates how to drive performance through data and metrics by identifying the key performance metrics within a business and looking at how to understand what data is important and what isn’t. “Gathering data is one thing but the next step is how do you turn that mass of data into something that is useful and helps you get where you want to go,” she said.

This video was recorded at the REBA Innovation Day in London, held on the 23 November 2017.
