Video tutorial: Why seamless systems and software integration is vital to reward success
Speaking at the REBA Innovation Day, Drake said integration should work seamlessly and quickly. He said today’s reward and benefits options were usually single sign-on dashboard driven systems.
However he said more effective use of technology uses prompts that react to moments in people’s lives to make decisions on possible alternative rewards that could make employees lives easier and rewards more relevant and meaningful. “People remember the experience more than they remember the cash,” he said.
Using technology to pull such messages together would help to enhance the experience, he said. “You should really only be using the systems and software that talk to each other,” he said.
Such experiences should emulate that which employees have in the rest of their lives, he said. “Your employees will have that perfect and seamless journey in so much of what they are doing every day,” he said.
“You shouldn’t be accepting anything less than a system that has the ability to talk to other systems and other pieces of tech in the future, because otherwise all you are going to do is hinder your ability further down the line to create that perfect consumer grade consumer experience for your people,” he said.
