Video tutorial: Why you need to develop your digital strategy from the employee point of view

The need to bring technology alive in an organisation is an integral part of understanding the technology journey, according to David Walker, chief commercial officer of the Personal Group.

Speaking at the REBA Innovation Day he told delegates to understand where they were on the digital maturity journey and said there was often a disconnect between the aspirations of companies and what’s actually happening at organisations.

He said businesses need to think of their employees as consumers and design a strategy from the employees’ point of view. “By designing an employee journey your digital experience becomes completely different. You start to spend more time in the design of the employee experience and then work out how to do it digitally than the other way around,” he said.
