REBA Future Forum 2022

Keynote speakers announced!

Opening keynote: Planetary rewards for existential benefit - Incentivising the future we need

Ed Gillespie

In this powerful and provocative talk, Ed will set the scene for the business transformation challenges ahead, and all the megatrends driving that change; from biodiversity, through climate change, to the just transition, fairness, reskilling, retention, ageing demographics, migration and flexible working. Never before have we experienced this pressure of disruption, innovation and diversification and it means the system must change faster than any of us are likely to be comfortable with. Ed will illuminate these emerging imperatives, helping us understand the way the world is moving and arming us with practical and inspiring suggestions to help create the sustainable future world of work we need.

Ed Gillespie is a writer, communications specialist, serial entrepreneur and futurist. As co-founder of Futerra, a change agency specialising in business transformation and lead facilitator with the Forward Institute, Ed’s core talent is to take the complex, interconnected, interdependent nature of the many challenges the world faces, from climate change to disruptive innovation, and make common sense of them. Currently Ed’s focus is using his 25 years of experience to help organisations rapidly understand the post-pandemic world. This will involve ‘unlearning’ the mistakes of the past, asking the right (often awkward) questions, and moving beyond the discomfort of today into being the better, more resilient, responsible and sustainable businesses and organisations of tomorrow.

Closing keynote interview - Are you ready for what’s coming next?

Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon MBE

As a highly-respected thought-leader in the tech space, host of the Women Tech Charge podcast and trustee at the Institute for the Future of Work, Annie-Marie’s talk will explore near-term future of work trends and predictions. She’ll be delving into the true impact of AI, big data and tech and shining a spotlight on the critical culture shifts that must take place to ensure employers are in the best position possible to meet future talent and skills needs and secure successful and sustainable businesses for the long term.

Featured among the top 10 BAME leaders in tech by the Financial Times and Inclusive Boards, Anne-Marie is a prodigy in every sense of the word. Aged 11, she was the youngest girl ever to pass A-level computing, and was just 20 years old when she received her Master’s Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Oxford. Since then she has held positions at Goldman Sachs, Hewlett-Packard and Deutsche Bank. It is this wealth of experience and pioneering spirit that led her to co-found Stemettes, an award-winning social initiative dedicated to inspiring and promoting the next generation of young women in the STEM sectors. Anne-Marie’s first book SHE’S IN Ctrl was published by Penguin earlier this month.
