Consultation: The Low Pay Commission and the National Minimum Wage beyond 2020

The Low Pay Commission – the body that advises government on the level of the National Minimum Wage (NMW) – is seeking evidence in advance of recommending levels for them beyond 2020.

Currently, the stated aim is to raise the NMW to 60% of median earnings – a path it is currently on track to do.

But it is now seeking views on how the existing target for the National Living Wage has worked and what its potential future arrangements should be.

The deadline for evidence is 7 June 2019.
