Report: Generation WHY?: money matters in 2018 1

Key findings

  • 43 per cent of the UK workforce think they will retire before the age of 65 – despite an inability to save for retirement due to the costs of day-to-day living.
  • 58 per cent wouldn’t have enough savings to live off for more than three months if they were to lose their source of income.
  • Just seven per cent would consider approaching their employer for financial advice or guidance.
  • The majority (97 per cent) of employees are aware of the state of their current financial health.

Barnett Waddingham surveyed 3,000 UK workers on money matters.
