Research: The Art of Motivation: Inspiring today’s workforce
Key findings:
- Of the 2,001 employees surveyed, 61 per cent said they were motivated most of the time. Just 21 per cent said they were motivated all of the time.
- The top three things that motivated employees in their job were: a pay rise (53 per cent), receiving a reward for doing well (32 per cent), and completing a piece of work they found challenging (29 per cent).
- When asked what their employer could do better to motivate them, 37 per cent said ‘make me feel appreciated’, 34 per cent said ‘offer me regular incentives & rewards’, and 23 per cent said ‘keep my role varied and challenging’.
