Future of Pensions Summit 2024

Invitation-only event exploring how employment journeys and retirement is changing and how reward, benefits and pensions need to evolve to remain relevant, practical and effective.

To find out what you missed, catch up with our article: 5 things we learned at REBA’s Future of Pensions Summit 2024.

The next few months into 2025 will be crucial in shaping the future of workplace pensions. With the new Government pushing rapidly forward with its Pensions Review, it is crucial that employers are up to speed with which proposed changes are being discussed while there is still time to influence them. Alongside future new legislation, there are significant macro-shifts coming over the horizon. Shifting workplace demographics, socio-economic pressures and new trends in employee savings and retirement behaviours are causing a radical evolution in how workplace pensions are being designed and offered.

In the midst of very challenging times for both employees and employers, the REBA Future of Pensions Summit will drive much needed discussion around how workplace pension strategies are evolving to meet both HR and wider corporate pressures and ensure better retirement choices and outcomes for employees now and into the future.

Designed to help Reward and Benefit Directors negotiate the many looming challenges that lie ahead, the summit brings together leading experts and practitioners from across the industry, to discuss the issues with those who are most in the know.

To reflect the growing interest in this topic and demand from the sector, the Summit, now in its second year, is moving to a new, larger venue, County Hall, situated in the heart of London.

At this invitation-only event you’ll:

  • Know all you need to about current and proposed legislation changes
  • Understand the State’s position on funding retirement and what role they envisage for employers
  • Grasp the full extent of the challenges posed by an ageing workforce
  • Discuss how employers can meaningfully address the gender pension gap
  • Debate the challenges of engaging younger generations with their pensions
  • Consider the role pensions play in a holistic financial wellbeing strategy that works for the entire workforce
  • Connect with other senior leaders responsible for pension provision and strategies, exchange knowledge and learn from their experiences

What will the event include?

  • In-depth panel debates with senior pension, reward and benefits experts
  • Spotlight sessions on key issues
  • Intimate, hosted workshop groups to share knowledge and establish valuable contacts within your peer group

Who will attend?
This is an invitation-only event* with key stakeholders invited who can contribute genuine insight and expertise on evolving retirement solutions.

  • Senior reward and employee benefits directors with overall responsiblity for pension provision for leading national and international organisations*
  • Strategy and proposition development leaders from pension providers
  • Leading pension consultants and intermediaries
  • Industry and commentators
  • Regulatory and legislative experts

*This invitation-only event is aimed specifically at senior reward and benefit directors with overall pensions responsibility. Many don't (and do not need to) have detailed knowledge that Pensions Managers used to have. However, they do need the big picture view of how pensions are changing, what the market shifts are, what changing legislation will mean for their workforce. Plus of course, how they balance the pensions budget within broader benefits and pay spend in order to drive HR and business objectives.
