Government papers: Master trust code of practice consultation

This consultation outlines a new code of practice for master trust schemes. It also covers the related procedure The Pensions Regulator expects to follow when deciding whether or not to grant authorisation to a master trust.

Master Trust consultation 1

Guidance will be published separately to accompany this code and the authorisation and supervision regime. This consultation also seeks to gain views on what should be included in guidance.

The purpose of the new code is to provide master trusts with the clarity they need on how to apply for authorisation and the matters that will be taken into account in deciding whether a master trust should be authorised and remain so.

The consultation runs until 8 May 2018. Those keen to contribute to consultation can do so by email: [email protected] or by post: Victoria Holmes, The Pensions Regulator, Napier House, Trafalgar Place, Brighton, BN1 4DW.
