Employers' attitudes to the changing DC pensions landscape

Key findings:

  • 36 per cent of employers feel that pension freedoms have had an impact on how members are choosing to exit their workplace.
  • Just over half of employers would consider offering education and support tools to enhance employee engagement.
  • 64 per cent of employers see financial stress in the workplace as an issue, yet just 26% offer debt management support.

The researchers spoke to 58 businesses representing around 750,000 employees to understand whether employers’ pension plans are meeting their corporate objectives since full freedoms were introduced in 2015.
