Survey: Generation Why?

Barnett Waddingham’s survey highlights generational attitudes towards money. With more than 1,500 responses, the results reveal the potential difficulties in the retirement journey.

Generation why 1

Key findings:

  • Around 40% of people do not receive any help from their employer regarding their financial concerns or goals.
  • Nearly 80% of Brits want financial education included in the workplace.
  • Nearly two-thirds of Brits admit to losing sleep over their finances.
  • More than one-third reveal their main financial priority is to save for a house.

The survey finds that generational diversity will become more familiar in UK workplaces. In addition, organisations will need to adapt to keep up with phased retirements.
