TELUS Health report: Working unwell, the hidden burden of UK working parents
Working parents are carrying two demanding roles at once, and the strain rarely surfaces where organisations are looking. The Working unwell report from TELUS Health examines the pressures facing UK working parents and why conventional wellbeing support so often misses them.
Drawing on TELUS Mental Health Index data, it finds working parents report higher burnout and anxiety than non-parent colleagues, yet many still delay seeking help. It sets out why generous provision alone doesn't shift outcomes. And it maps what leaders can do instead, from supporting the whole family and easing the mental load of care to tackling workload and financial pressure at the structural level.
