Alaana Woods of Bupa Health Services on how health equity will help women reach their potential

Alaana Woods, commercial director at Bupa Health Services, explored the areas where women are inadvertently held back due to differing wellbeing needs and questioned whether employers need specific policies in place to tackle this issue.

Speaking at REBA's Employee Wellbeing Congress, Woods considered how achieving health equity in the workplace will allow women to strive and in turn provide businesses with a point retention and attraction.

"We [women] have different healthcare needs, equity is not asking for special treatment, it's asking for basic healthcare needs that are specific to women to be met in order for women to reach their potential. Ultimately, it's about levelling playing fields so everyone can thrive," added Woods.
