REBA's Debi O'Donovan's State of the Nation address: individual action drives collective change

To conclude the final day of the Employee Wellbeing Congress 2020 REBA's co-director Debi O'Donovan gave her State of the Nation address, to provide insight from the Congress's key learnings and an overview of what the future of work will hold.

Her main message was: "The power lies within each one of us to create the world that we want to live in...Individuals can drive collective change, and where collective change takes us will become our future."

For reward and employee benefits professionals, there is now the opportunity to rethink and reimagine the employee/employer relationship.

This session reflects on where the reward and employee benefits industry currently is, and what the challenges and trends are due to the changes that we are going through –  the world of work will not return to how it was before the pandemic, we are in a new reality.

O'Donovan calls on professionals to rethink their strategies to ensure they are fluid, dynamic and agile – words that are not traditionally associated with reward and benefits, but ones that will become pivotal in the months ahead.
