Survey: The future of work: Debunking myths and navigating new realities
Key findings:
- More than half of employers said it will take new HR approaches to meet the challenges of automation and digitalization. While almost 70 per cent indicated a need for breakthrough changes in performance management.
- A significant number of organisations planned to expand the reward programmes provided to contingent workers.
- In the next three years, 45 per cent of employers are considering offering recognition programmes to free agent workers, while 41 per cent expected to provide access to health and wellness programmes such as gym memberships and fitness consultations.
- The use of workplace automation is expected to double in the next three years. Respondents also reported that 12 per cent of work is being done using AI and robotics, compared with just seven per cent three years ago.
- More than half of employers said the key goal of automation is to augment human performance and productivity.
