Innovation series: 3R Strategy discuss pay transparency and how to achieve trust and fairness

The pandemic has disrupted thinking around fairness, equality and trust in both pay and organisational culture. In this video, Rameez Kaleem, founder and director at 3R Strategy, discusses what a pay transparency journey looks like.

“Pay transparency is around being fair and open about how and why pay decisions are made,” explains Kaleem. “What makes organisations, and even leaders, nervous about pay transparency is they start to worry about employees discussing pay – finding out about what everyone else is getting paid. But the fact is, most people are not really that concerned about what everyone else gets paid, what they are concerned about is that they are treated fairly.”

Watch the whole video with REBA’s co-founder and director Debi O’Donovan to find out more about pay fairness, the pay transparency scale, links to employee engagement, equality, gender pay gap reporting, the impact of the pandemic and what a pay transparency journey looks like.

The innovation series is part of REBA’s new On Demand resources which will explore the age of innovation and how this will influence future reward, wellbeing and benefits design and strategy. The series will enable you to hear from a select group of senior reward professionals, industry experts and thought-leaders who are at the cutting edge of reward and benefits development.
