Report: Human to Hybrid: The next workforce frontier

Capita has published the first of a series of reports planned for 2019 that will each look into different aspects of the changing nature of work.

This first report asked more than 2,500 business leaders about how they see work transitioning from ‘human to hybrid’ – where digital and automation technologies start to dominate.

It finds considerable trepidation exists:

• 72% of business leaders say they see the transition to a hybrid workforce as the 'biggest challenge' they face
• 93% of leaders think they need to start proactively managing this shift in the next 12 months
• Nearly a third (31%) consider the move from human to hybrid as a threat
• 51% of employees said they would leave organisations that didn’t manage this transition properly
