Video: Employers must stop paying lip service to wellbeing. Here's how

Nick McClelland, sales and commercial director, JLT, explains why organisations need to go beyond paying lip service to wellbeing and take psychology and personality into account to drive better wellbeing strategies.

He says: "I think that 2019 will be a time where organisations start to understand that just paying lip service to wellness and offering lots of initiatives may not be enough. There needs to be an effort to adapt behaviours and for employees to take personal ownership of their wellbeing.

"Psychology and personality plays a bigger role in their wellness then maybe we have considered before. That’s particularly around elements such as financial wellbeing and whether people are savers or whether they’re spenders. We need to move away from a demographic based approach which unfortunately has become too popular in recent times."
