Achievers report: State of recognition

Based on a survey of 3,600 employees across the UK, US, Canada, Australia, and Singapore, this report finds that recognition runs the risk of disappearing from the workplace.

Just over a quarter (26%) of respondents feel recognised weekly, down from 29% in last year’s survey. Recognition from managers — the most impactful source — also dropped from 20% to just 15%.

But the report also shows that employees who receive meaningful recognition on a weekly basis are nine times more likely to feel a strong sense of belonging, six times more likely to see a long-term career at their company, and 2.6 times more likely to be their most productive selves.
