Everywhen report: Employer perspectives on workforce health and benefits (part 2)
The state of health and wellbeing strategy report uncovers a disconnect running through UK workplaces. Although employer concern about workforce health is high, a significant portion of businesses rely on ad hoc support or treat their standard benefits package as a substitute for a strategy.
Only half (51%) of employers have a documented health and wellbeing strategy that is updated regularly, while less than one in ten (6%) have an undocumented plan. Meanwhile, less than two in ten (18%) organisations consider that offering benefits is their entire strategy and just over one in ten (11%) employers have no strategy at all.
With mental health remaining the top priority for almost half (49%) of employers in the coming year, moving beyond reactive, ad hoc support is essential for long-term workforce sustainability.
The state of health and wellbeing strategy report sets out where standard approaches fall short, how employee pressures are evolving, and what UK businesses can do to build structured, preventative health support.
