Video tutorial: Alan Millbrow of Three UK on driving wellbeing from the top down

At Three driving a wellbeing culture has been led from the top with its success evidenced by the company’s win of the REBA Employee Wellbeing Award for Leadership and Culture.

Speaking at the REBA Employee Wellbeing Congress 2019 Three UK’s head of wellbeing and recognition Alan Millbrow said that wellbeing was a key focus for the company with the rolled of a number of initiatives in recent years.

These have included the company’s wellness fund where employees are able to apply to do an activity that will improve their wellbeing – from climbing the O2 to a painting session - and personal days where people can take up to three days a year to do something important to them – from buying a pet to going to a wedding.

However he said wellbeing doesn’t happen by accident. “We don’t put these in the business and instantly everyone’s engaged and everyone supports it. It does take time to integrate it into the organisation properly and really change that culture and we’ve found no better way of doing it than by having relentless engagement and leadership buy-in,” he said.

This video was recorded at the REBA Employee Wellbeing Congress 2019, held in London on 20 June.
