Video tutorial: Making use of the latest digital solutions to engage staff in financial planning

There has never been a better time to get a freebie, according to Martin Laws, senior reward and benefit consultant at Capita Employee Benefits.

He encouraged delegates at the REBA Innovation Day to look at the free tools available to them to do everything from educate, assess, model and action when it comes to reward and benefits, especially around financial advice.

But he also warned of employees’ over reliance on Google for financial advice since they may not be impartially served on the site. “Are they going to Google because they don’t want to talk to their employer about it or is it that they feel they not being well served when it comes to financial advice,” he said.

He said it was an exciting time to be thinking about financial wellness in the workplace but that it was important to both understand your workforce and the profile of the workforce.
