Produced in association with Halogen and published in May, the report looks at employee attitudes towards senior leaders and line managers as well as organisational purpose and the opportunities for employee voice.

The report collates the views of more than 2,000 UK employees surveyed during February and March 2016.

Key findings:

  • Worrying drop in job satisfaction – down to a two-and-a-half-year low.
  • An increase in the number of employees currently looking for a new job.
  • Few employees believe that their leaders consult them about important decisions.
  • An increasing number of employees say that their performance management processes are somewhat or not at all fair.
  • More than a third of employees say they are unlikely or very unlikely to fulfil their career aspirations in their current organisations.
  • A third feel over qualified for their roles.
  • More than a third of employees say their organisation doesn’t provide them with opportunities to learn and grow.
  • More than of a quarter are dissatisfied with the chance to develop their skills further.
