Health and protection benefits face mounting pressures on multiple fronts.

Rising medical inflation and PMI premiums are challenging the long-term sustainability of traditional employer-funded models, while employee expectations are shifting from healthcare support as a perk to a core expectation.

As a result, multinational employers are focusing on prevention to mitigate future workforce health risks. Yet right now, it can feel more like an art than a science, no matter how much data you have at your fingertips.

It's essential that employer-funded health benefits evolve to meet new challenges.

During the Future of Health and Protection Summit 2026, our keynote speaker, Anca del Rio, advisor, digital health systems and AI governance, will discuss new perspectives on prediction and prevention, and how to use AI to turn the digital strain felt by so many employees into digital strength.

In addition to our spotlight speakers and employer case studies, the agenda includes workshops led by leading industry experts from Aon, AXA Health and Equipsme to explore key opportunities and challenges in smaller groups.

Gethin Nadin, award-winning psychologist and chief innovation officer, and Ross Spearman, chief experience officer, both from Benifex, will host a workshop to uncover how employers can harness AI to improve visibility, efficiency and health benefits optimisation.

Dr. Wolfgang Seidl, global workforce health and global mental health consulting leader, and Katie McKenna, global benefits consultant, both from Marsh, will focus on investing in prevention to futureproof workforce health and sustainability.

We will also be joined by expert speakers from Howden, who will look at navigating global health, Vidett speakers will discuss the effective deployment of healthcare trusts in a cost-control environment, and MetLife will run a workshop focusing on how to design and fund a global employee health benefits programme.

REBA’s Future of Health and Protection Summit 2026 takes place on 12 March, bringing together more than 100 employers responsible for multinational health and risk benefits across countries to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and develop insights into the most effective emerging international practices.
