Video tutorial: Mercer's Nick McClelland on why we struggle to engage staff with digital solutions

Nick McClelland, commercial leader at Mercer Marsh Benefits takes an honest look at the digital reward and benefit landscape, and how reward professionals can rethink the way we design, implement and communicate benefits.

There is so much "noise" coming from endless apps and technological offerings that is distracting people and preventing engagement, according to McClelland, speaking at Reba Innovation Day 2019.

"Employees get confused as to where to go for information which leads to frustration which in turn leads to indifference which is where we end up with most employees when using a benefits platform.

"This means employees are switching off and this leads to some fundamental issues within our businesses when we are trying to engage with people," says McClelland.
