New research shows that the personal life events of employees, such as caregiving responsibilities, divorce and relationships breakdown and bereavement can have a significant negative economic impact on your business and cause a heavy toll of emotional, physical and financial disruption for employees.

Join this workshop to gain valuable knowledge and insights about the disruption and cost associated with employee life events and changes and how employer-provided support for affected employees can have positive benefits for individuals and a positive financial return for employers.

Dicussion areas include:

  • Understanding the risks - what the research is telling us about the number of employees effected by life event issues and challenges, the impact of them personally and the wider productivity and business costs.
  • What is your experience of the impact of life events on your employees and which life events, such as caregiving, divorce or bereavement are most prevalent?
  •   Are there subjects which are still considered “taboo” in the workplace? How can we work towards a culture of greater openness and is this desirable?
  • Tools and tips on how to get senior leadership buy-in, attention and investment in the provision of life event support
