Tackling inequalities in workplace healthcare: how to create fair and equitable access for all employees

Join this private issue led workshop as part of REBA Wellbeing Congress 2024.

Of the 35 million employees in the UK, only around six million receive workplace health cover in some form. And yet health equity in the workplace is an essential component of overall employee wellbeing and key to creating a healthier, happier and more productive workforce. With ever-increasing pressures on the NHS, along with the cost-of-living crisis, employees are looking to their employer to help bridge the gap with access to affordable everyday healthcare.

We believe an evolution is needed! Join this workshop to discuss and debate with peers on this vital topic. We’ll explore the generic challenges facing employers, as well as some of the specific issues facing different industry sectors and the steps they can take to create fairer and more equitable access to workplace health cover.

Key discussion points:

  • What are the key challenges you face in providing access to healthcare for your workforce?
  • What are you seeing in your organisation and how do the healthcare needs differ across your employee population?
  • What policies, practices and health and wellbeing benefits do you currently have in place to help mitigate this?
