Financial Wellbeing Briefing 2026
This four-page briefing provides key insights from the REBA Financial Wellbeing Research 2026, published in partnership with WEALTH at work.
With financial pressures continuing to put employees’ savings, pensions, financial resilience and mental health under strain, and with new legislation and government initiatives reshaping plans, how are employers responding and what will it take to stay ahead?
REBA’s research of 186 leading organisations reveals fresh strategies for tackling these challenges, from the growth in financial support services on offer to how the drivers for workplace savings are changing over the next two years.
With the majority (82%) of respondents indicating that improving workforce mental wellbeing is significantly more important than other HR objectives, it’s clear that preventing stress or worry is now the main driver behind employer financial wellbeing strategies.
If you don’t have time to read the full report, this four-page briefing offers a snapshot of the main findings, or read the full report for benchmarking data, emerging trends, improving retirement adequacy, financial wellbeing budgets and the support services shaping a better financial future.
About the research
Using REBA’s extensive membership, the insight team conducted an online survey between April and May 2026 to produce the full 40-page Financial Wellbeing Research 2026. The robust methodology uncovered clear future trends and decision-making patterns among the 186 respondents, representing 1.2 million employees.
