As employers shift focus away from Defined Benefit (DB) pension plans toward the growing assets in Defined Contribution (DC) schemes globally, the issues associated with managing multiple DC plans are becoming increasingly complex and challenging. Many organisations are realising they lack comprehensive oversight of the assets, liabilities and governance of their DC plans spread across the world.

Join this workshop to explore how employers can gain better visibility, control and management of their global retirement plans and ensure they meet local requirements while aligning with wider HR and corporate objectives. From data management to governance structures, we will discuss strategies for improving oversight, ensuring compliance, and supporting workforce growth through robust global retirement planning strategies.

Discussion areas include:

  • Employers key concerns around managing global retirement plans, prioritising the issues and how to manage them more effectively
  • How to gather accurate data and information to report to key stakeholders on their global retirement assets and improving data management for better decision-making, governance and compliance
  • How employers can ensure global DC schemes align with broader corporate objectives and talent strategies
  • Exploring the pros and cons of different approaches to managing global retirement plans - centralised, regionalised and localised - and how organisations can best tailor governance and management to their specific needs
  • What does best practice look like in terms of governance and compliance, risk management and ensuring that local retirement plans are supporting global workforce growth and retention strategies?
