Dr Wolfgang Seidl and Nick McClelland of Mercer on driving wellbeing engagement

Dr Wolfgang Seidl, partner, leader of workplace health consulting UK and Europe, and Nick McClelland, partner, UK growth leader, both from Mercer Marsh Benefits discussed a new approach to drive real engagement and behaviour change in workplace wellbeing.

Speaking at REBA's Employee Wellbeing Congress, McClelland suggested that there are four main challenges that Mercer is seeing in its client's workplaces, including: engagement, employee behaviours, outside distractions and cultural change.

They also considered the four fundamentals of a fresh approach to wellbeing change: personalisation, habit-loops, community and making it fun and playful are key to engagement and behaviour change.
