Based on the experiences gained from employers who have already taken steps to reduce their pay gaps, the guidance recommends:

  • Understanding why a pay gap may exist in the first place
  • Methods for better consulting and engaging with employees
  • Ways to continually revise, assess and embed a gender pay gap action plan
  • How much time employers should set aside to achieve their action plan outcomes
