Towergate Research: How employers are monitoring and managing absence
This Towergate Employee Benefits research report reveals that the majority of employers have established employee absence tracking systems, and are shifting towards data-informed, preventative care models.
Employers foresee mounting difficulties in recruiting (47%), retaining (44%), and engaging (37%) employees in the next 12 months. As a result, employers are being more proactive in their approach – tracking absence more closely, tailoring wellbeing strategies in response and recognising the wider business impact of disengagement and time away from work.
Key finings:
- 81% of employers report having a strong understanding of absence
- 59% of employers use wellbeing initiatives to prevent absence
- 26% say quiet quitting is currently causing problems in their business.
This research was conducted among 500 HR decision makers from the UK through online polling, on behalf of Towergate Employee Benefits, by Opinium Research.
