Webinar recording: New recognition strategies to increase purpose, resonance and inclusivity
From aligning corporate culture through to meeting DEI and sustainability goals, recognition plans are playing an increasingly strategic role. They have undergone a transformation as they are increasingly used to support employee behavioural change during this period of workforce, HR and business transformation.
At the same time, in today’s changing world of hybrid, flexible and global working, recognising the contribution of employees has never been more important. Yet any programme or initiative during this era of volatility needs careful consideration to ensure full resonance.
In this webinar, the panel discuss the importance of choosing the right strategy that aligns to the employer brand, HR objectives, values and purpose. They explore the importance of taking into account cultural nuances across country cultures as well as diversity groups.
The key issues explored includes: why employers are experiencing a recognition renaissance: from business change and volatility to people risks and corporate culture; how to use recognition to promote behaviour linked to values and purpose as well as HR objectives; linking recognition awards and presentation to the employer brand; how to celebrate in hybrid and remote environments to foster belonging across cultures and take into account DEI nuances; and understanding the importance of symbolic awards and presentations to create sentiment.
Chaired by REBA’s director Debi O’Donovan, the panel included:
- Stuart Cheesman, client strategist at O.C.Tanner
- Jane Humberstone, director, global reward & mobility at Jaguar Land Rover
- Nikolaos Koutrakis, VP of reward at Colt Technology Services.
