REBA Technology Survey 2017/18: Employers are operating in siloed technology platforms

Employers are working across numerous reward and employee benefits technology platforms and often failing to integrate those that they do have.

That's a key finding from the REBA Technology Survey 2017/18, produced in association with JLT Employee Benefits.

The survey showed that nearly half (47%) use between three and five platforms. Only a quarter (25%) used a single platform and more than one in ten (12%) use between six and ten platforms.

Of those with multiple platforms more than half used a mix of platforms with separate user interfaces requiring separate log-ins despite nearly two-thirds of respondents saying it was 'very important' for employees and reward managers to access all rewards and benefits-related information from a single point.

"This is a frustrating situation for all those involved," said Debi O'Donovan, partner at REBA. "Employees and reward managers clearly want to be able to access reward and benefits data in a single integrated view, but this simply isn't happening for most people," she said.
