Video tutorial: Psyon's Anna Spender on why proper analysis of data is key to wellbeing

Anna Spender, director of analytics and wellbeing at Psyon, revealed how her company had helped organisations build dashboards.

Speaking at the Employee Wellbeing Congress 2018 she said “We are getting increasing demands for dashboards,” explaining that was for a number of reasons from sign-off for wellbeing budgets to a greater understanding of its impact.

Spender said preparation and proper analysis of data was key. “This is not about drawing pretty diagrams, this is about doing actionable insight,” she said.

A wellbeing dashboard needs to be simple, in plain English that everyone from the CEO to investors and shareholders clearly understand, according to John Dean, chief commercial officer at Punter Southall Health & Protection.

Also speaking at the event he encouraged companies to build a dashboard with the data they have and then update it. “It’s got to be simple, easy to use with easy data feeds that you can pull from your organisation so that it’s relevant,” he said.

This video was recorded at the Employee Wellbeing Congress 2018, held in London on 5 July.
