Report: Mental Health at Work Report 2017

The second National Employee Mental Wellbeing Survey from Business in the Community reveals that, although some progress has been made, too many men and women with mental health issues are suffering in silence at work.

Key findings:

  • 60% of employees have experienced mental health issues because of work.
  • 15% of employees who disclosed a mental health issue faced disciplinary procedures, demotion or dismissal.
  • Fewer than a quarter of line managers have received any training in mental health.
  • Around 53% of employees feel comfortable talking about mental health at work.

YouGov surveyed 3,000 people in work from across the UK for the report.
