Survey: Ongoing duties survey

Auto-enrolment (AE) is business as usual for the majority of organisations, finds the latest survey of employers from The Pensions Regulator.

Ongoing duties 3

Key findings:

  • At least 92 per cent of all employer sizes were aware of each individual ongoing duty in relation to AE.
  • The majority of employers stated that they do not have any difficulty keeping up with their duties, and almost two-thirds found them less onerous than expected.
  • Most employers (84 per cent of micro, 94 per cent of small and 94 per cent of medium) were aware that minimum pension contributions will increase in April 2018.
  • The larger the employer, the more likely they were to have received requests for pensions information or advice from their staff. The majority of these respondents were confident that they could provide sufficiently accurate responses to these requests.

The Autumn 2017 survey was conducted among employers by OMB Research. A total of 801 telephone interviews (300 micro employers, 301 small and 200 medium) were completed between 13th October and 17th November 2017.
