Case study: How Nudge helped Meta LATAM educate employees to face financial hurdles
Like many global organisations, Meta LATAM noticed its employees were suffering increasing levels of financial anxiety. The team became aware of more requests for financial knowledge given that the economic environment was increasingly turbulent.
The challenge: Despite its extensive and diverse range of benefits, during the Covid-19 pandemic, Meta LATAM decided it needed to improve the financial education support it offered employees, devising financial wellbeing objectives to make the biggest possible impact.
The solution: The team started by reviewing the need for a financial wellbeing programme, outlining the scale of the challenge. One of the tools the team uses is Nudge’s financial health check-up data to identify and understand employees’ financial health needs.
Meta LATAM uses the data to create a programme that and aligns with stakeholders and caters to the differing circumstances of its global employees.
An important aspect of the financial education programme is trust. Meta LATAM didn’t want to confuse people with information that has an ulterior motive. The impartial financial education provided by Nudge was considered a perfect solution because it is reputable and trusted.
The next step was communication. Since the benefit programme is diverse to suit differing employees needs, it needed a streamlined communication strategy. Meta LATAM uses Nudge to bring the personalised and inclusive communication together into a cohesive experience.
Outcome: Since the financial education programme was launched, 90% of Meta LATAM employees have engaged with it and 96% of them have continued their study.
