Emma Douglas MD-Workplace at Aviva on saving for an adequate pension

Emma Douglas, Chair of the PLSA and MD-Workplace at Aviva, shares ideas with REBA's Maggie Williams on how we can improve pension saving

Douglas outlines some of the actions that government and pensions organisations can take to help people improve their level of pension savings, as well as how to keep committed to pensions through the cost of living crisis.

“Pension savings have held up pretty well through the cost of living crisis,” says Douglas. ”Auto-enrolment is doing the heavy lifting in keeping people invested… But there is also real awareness that a cost of living crisis today could turn into a cost of retirement crisis tomorrow.”

Watch this video to find out more about retirement living standards, how providers can improve pension forecasting to more accurately reflect ‘real life’, as well as using Mid-life MOTs to evaluate where they are and could be going for the future.
